i have been at Camp Arnes(a Cristian camp) for the past week. it has changed my life. in 2 days i am going camping with my family until the 24th i think. i posted the correct date on the first post

Please make a serious philosophical decision and not just because you went to a camp where they are all taught how to make the people there feel incomplete,not good etc. They think they are the ones playing the mind games, but they are involved in some too. Im not going to bother answering that. You just asked how we have a belief in no belief, seriously? reread the statement and you will realise, it ISNT a belief. Do you believe in muhammad? no? then how can you live without belief, you are an atheist to all except one religion in the world, why should one more matter?

Look What Giligan's trying to say is you guys have no belief which means that you dont belive in heaven and hell and i get that i sometimes question my belief, but the thing that i dont understand is Atheism is kinda its own belief which is where your buried and nothing happens to you i belive (correct me if im wrong) like chirsitanity (prob spelled wrong) you either go to heaven and live an eternal life with no sorrow and stuff like or you go to hell and supposidly you burn everyday or something like that! Atheism its cool and all but Have you ever gone to church???

1st. The church thing, ive been brainwashed every sunday for 15 years, I debated the people at Sunday school every Sunday for years, and not once did i receive an answer i was happy with. I told my parents I am an atheist, and they are still orthodox hardcore Christians.

2nd.Atheism is a belief, but in things that are provable and that we can see in nature. Not a supernatural belief in something we cannot see/prove.

3rd.I don't believe in unicorns, do you? why not?, what if i tell you go to hell if you don't believe in them, and i brainwashed you this way?

4th.On the hell thing. I have a little mini argument disproving the existence of a hell created by a loving god.

(1)- I do not live forever

(2)-therefore i cannot commit an infinite amount of sin ( bad things)

(3)therefore it cannot be right for me to receive an infinite amount of punishment, unless of course, god isnt loving, therefore isnt god of the bible.

ok for number 1: Dont talk to people in Sunday school they dont know half of whats going on Next thing i was raised in a Baptist Family to me i dont belive in the virgin marry and crap like that to me thats retarded i belive in Jesus and God ( i know what your thinking you christians have fights within Christianity yes but we all belive around the same principals)

Number 2: True, Nobody can prove that god and heaven and hell exist but the bible is the only book that i know of that was ever written and lasted Till now

Number 3: in a way your correct I dont belive in unicorns but im guessing you havent read the bible all the way through because In the bible it Says everybody is cleaned of their sins by jesus who died on the cross and what your thinking is that if i dont belive in god then im going to hell WRONG!! you dont have to belive in god to go to heaven but you do have to belive that jesus died on the cross for your sins which technically you dont belive in god you just belive that somebody died on a cross for everybodys sin make sense?

number 4: your wrong again God technically did not create hell it was Satan (satan was one of gods trusty Angels till he started disbeliving and god punished him so he became a fallen angel and Satan got mad and wanted revenge on god which Satan created Hell God was just a factor that caused hell

Ok your dad has rules well so does god! lets say you get in trouble with your dad hes gonna ground you for 2 weeks correct? Now lets say the sinner break one of gods rules hes gonna ground the sinner until he suffers enough! Now this all ties back with Judgement day where theres gonna be a BIG fight against god and Satan Supposidly Gods gonna win when god wins everybody is welcome to heaven even the sinners in hell because hes gonna release them from captivity from satan!! Make sense?

2:you agree, you are joking about the bible being the oldest book right? the Egyptians wrote on papyrus thousands of years before the bible was created. The bible just caught on in the desert and the desert god became popular.

3:I have read the entire bible numerous times, and there are a huge amount of contradictions flaws and foolish mistakes within. And btw you DO have to believe in god to get to this theoretical heaven, because if you don't believe in god, you don't believe jesus is god, therefore you just think he is some guy that got crucified. I believe jesus existed as a person, an average human, so according to your logic, I go to heaven, even though, I despise the very idea of god.

4:If you reread my point, my argument isn't that god created hell, its that god cannot be loving if he allows hell to exist, and even if you think Satan created it ( even though god creates everything and somehow these statements don't bring up a conflict with you), god is the one who decides to send us to hell, not Satan. God knows all apparently, therefore when he created me he knew i would die and go to hell, he created me to send me to an eternity of hell. If that was true then surely it is evil even to create me if you know where ill end up.
(1,2,3) please just reread what i am saying, your example isn't relevant because my dad isn't punishing me forever. If i did sin an infinite amount of times then i would deserve infinite punishment. No matter how bad the sin is, if i can only commit it once, i cannot deserve infinite punishment. I'm not sure you grasp the concept of infinity. That is billions of people burning in fire FOREVER, not being grounded for two weeks.

I am not sure, and i don't think anyone else is either Im not sure if the question actually needs to have an answer, i think the only reason we seek it so much is because we believe it will give us a purpose to be here. Some people will even go the extent of creating imaginary solutions to this puzzle and even brainwash their kids to think the same. WAAIITT A MINUTE

The theory is, i must stress THEORY (AKA THERE IS NO HELL IF YOU DONT ACCEPT IT), is that before time/space/matter everything was compressed into a singularity, everything, there was no time, this delves deep into quantum physics, (complicated stuff), in which before hand the laws of nature of physics/etc did not exist, and it was possible for matter to arise from nothing. We don't know, it could be a God, i just know it isn't the one in the bible.
